Producer:
Grape Variety:
100% Chardonnay
Tasting Note:
Varnier-Fannière's NV Extra Brut Cuvée Jean Fannière Origine continues to show well, offering up a lovely bouquet of citrus oil, crisp yellow apple, buttery pastry, fresh peach and verbena, with fewer of the biscuity nuances I found on my last encounter with the wine. Medium to full-bodied, bright and pillowy, it's charming and beautifully balanced, with fine depth at the core, racy acids and a delicately chalky finish.
Vinification:
The winery owns 4 hectares and produces around 36,000 bottles using biodynamic viticultures
