Producer:
Grape Variety:
100% Cabernet Franc
Tasting Note:
The La Paterne cuvée was created by Antoine Sanzay with the aim of offering a wine that is easy to taste from the first years, which is not necessarily the case with his other wines which require at least 1 to keep for 2 years to start drinking.
On the nose, the wine opens the doors to a dried flower garden, pot pourri type, it is both very elegant and very delicious. There are also nice touches of black fruit, a hint of black pepper but not an ounce of vegetal, it is remarkable.
The mouth is like the nose, of crazy elegance and exceptional drinkability. There are nice touches of black fruit and a hint of balsamic. The finish is long and smooth.
Vinification:
Altogether Antoine has 11.4 hectares of vineyards. 10.3 hectares planted to Cabernet Franc and 1.1 hectares of Chenin Blanc with Biodynamic Viticultures.
Scores:
92 Points Fallstaff
