Producer:
Grape Variety:
100% Barbera
Tasting Note:
This estate may have a long history in the region but it’s only since 1997 that production moved from the local co-op to in house, today run by fourth-generation Renato Vacca. This Barbera is vibrant and juicy with great finesse and focus of rich, peppery black cherry fruit and integrated oak. Ripe plum and fresh cherry flavours are supported by nice mineral tannins which give this wine great elegance. Let it open and it becomes succulent with a lovely long finish. This wine will age nicely, but it is so delicious and tempting it is hard to wait.
Vinification:
Cantina del Pino has some of the oldest vineyards in Barbaresco. The family owns 7 hectares and produces 30,000 bottles of fine wine using Organic Viticulture
